I have previously tested Frontier cast CMJ bullets, so I thought it was time to try out their .40 calibre 180 grain match bullet. The bullet style is a truncated cone flat point. I selected 20 bullets at random out of the box and check the diameter with a Mitutoyo digital calliper. All 20 bullets were 0.400 inch or 10.16mm diameter. I also weighted all 20 bullets. They ranged from 179.8 to 181.0 grains. The average weight was 180.33 grains. The bullet shape is similar to commercially loaded 180 grain FMJ factory ammunition.

ALLIANT POWER PISTOL POWDER

The following 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP calibre loads were assembled using Alliant Bullseye and Power Pistol powder, using Frontier 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP bullets. They were tested in a 9mm CZ75 SP01, a .40 STI Executive and a .45 STI Sentry. The velocities were recorded using a CED Millennium M2 Chronograph.
